The woooorrrrst of this week’s singles are heeeeerrrrreee to save the daaaaayyyyyy!
Frank Turner – “Losing Days”
Poor lad still can’t seem to stave off the Snow Patrollification – and, in this case, a side order of Travisification – that may swell his coffers but ultimately diminishes his worth as a human being at a rate of knots.
“I remember well the day that I got my first tattoo / I was so scared before and after, I was so proud when it was new / But these days I’ve gone and got me many more / And sometimes I get more when I get bored” – hmmm. Get tattoos when bored. Good advice.
One listen to “Losing Days” and now Rocksucker looks like this…
Eep!

Neon Jungle – “Trouble”
See, this is why you shouldn’t let them have so many of those awful fizzy drinks.
It’s going to take them at least an hour to wear themselves out now. Thanks a lot.

Rudimental feat. Foxes – “Right Here”
Kosheen with a crapper vocal.
Honestly, she sounds like she’s about to cry, but from dropping a scoop of ice cream on the ground as opposed to anything meaningful.
Decent beats…shame the rest of it is emotionally exploitative claptrap.

Deap Vally – “Bad For My Body”
So deeply, deeply unnecessary.

Stickman Cartel – “Accolade”
Sounds like something that a) the NME would love and b) that will undoubtedly soundtrack some live football on television this season.
Doesn’t make it any less boring and douchey. This is music by, and for, people who merely like the idea of being into music because it makes them look cool.
Utter pish.

Those were the worst of this week’s singles for yiz. Tune in tomorrow for the rest of this week’s singles!
